How To Make Authentic Sangria
Step 1
Finely dice the peaches and apples. Combine in a large bowl.
Step 2
Dice the oranges and lemons in the same way.
Step 3
Juice one lemon and one orange using a citrus press or reamer. Add to the bowl.
Step 4
Pour in the red wine and cognac.
Step 5
Add cloves, cinnamon sticks, and sugar. Stir gently until sugar dissolves.
Step 6
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow flavors to infuse.
Step 7
Remove spices from the sangria before serving.
Step 8
Add ice to the bowl.
Step 9
Pour in the soda water and stir gently.
