- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup cornflour
- 1ΒΌ cups milk
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 tsp paprika powder
- 4g dry yeast
- 4β6 cod fillets
- Salt to taste
FOR THE CHIPS:
- 600g yellow potatoes
- 3 tbsp olive oil
FOR THE MINTY PEA PUREE:
- 200g peas
- 4 mint leaves
- Salt to taste
How To Make Fish And Chips
Step 1: In a bowl, mix milk, egg yolk, yeast, paprika, and flour. Whisk until smooth. Cover and rest for 40 minutes.
Step 2: Peel and slice potatoes. Boil in salted water for 6 minutes. Drain and dry.
Step 3: Boil peas for 3 minutes, then blend with mint, olive oil, and salt. Set aside.
Step 4: Heat oil. Dip cod in batter, fry for 5β6 minutes each side until golden.
Step 5: Fry potatoes in the same oil for 3 minutes until crispy.
Step 6: Serve fish and chips with minty pea puree. Garnish with mint if desired.
