Starting from one of the long edges, tightly roll the dough into a log.
Slice the log into 12 rolls (you can use a sharp knife or dental floss to cut them cleanly).
Bake:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and arrange the rolls in the dish. Let them rest for about 20 minutes while the oven heats.
Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until golden brown.
Glaze:
While the rolls are baking, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract (if using) to make the glaze.
Once the rolls are done, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly before drizzling the glaze over them.
Serve:
Serve warm and enjoy your homemade cinnamon rolls!
Feel free to adjust the sweetness or the filling if you like! You can also make the dough the night before and let it rise overnight in the fridge for an easier morning.
